Nonni's Story

Nonni was rescued directly from a puppy mill in Missouri at the age of 7 years. She and her breeding mate Bailey were offered for sale on Craig's list for a nominal fee because they were no longer seen as profitable breeders. Once in the arms of her new Mama, Nonni lived for 3-years in the life she so deserved, surrounded by love and safety, until she passed suddenly and quickly from a seizure. It was a devastating loss to all who had followed her rescue and had witnessed her blossoming into a quirky, lively, bossy little girl. Because she exemplified so many mill mamas and the rugged resiliency of the breed, Nonni's Fund was started to help other mill mamas and rescues in need. Although she had been debarked by the 'millers', her voice can still be heard loud and clear in the goodwill she spread to the Cavaliers, who are helped by the proceeds of Nonni's Fund.
